Dr. Danny Tran

Dr. Tran has always called Southern California home. In fact, he grew up less than 30 minutes from where Covina Family Dental is now. Since his father was a dentist, his interest in the field of dentistry was sparked at a young age. And he wasn’t the only one – his sister is a practicing oral surgeon!

When it came time for Dr. Tran to go to college, he chose the University of the Pacific. After earning his undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences, it was time to make his lifelong dream of becoming a dentist near San Dimas a reality. He attended the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry, which is where he graduated with honors with his Doctor of Dental Surgery.

Today, Dr. Tran has roughly a decade of experience in the world of dentistry. Each year, he pursues continuing education and stays involved in memberships with the American Dental Association and the California Dental Association. Plus, he serves on the board of the San Gabriel Valley Dental Society!

As you can imagine, lots of Dr. Tran’s time in and outside of the office is centered around dentistry. However, he also enjoys playing basketball, eating good food around town, participating in community events, and spending time outside!

How do I get emergency dental care?

First, you need to assess your injury. If you’ve fractured your jaw, you’re having trouble breathing, or you’re still bleeding after 10 minutes of applying pressure, then priority number one should be getting medical attention at your nearest ER. If, on the other hand, you aren’t struggling with any life-threatening symptoms, then we encourage you to call our emergency dental team near San Dimas. Over the phone, we will ask you a few questions to learn more about your situation, schedule a time for you to come in for treatment, and provide you with step-by-step instructions on what to do until you arrive at our office.

How much does a dental checkup & cleaning cost in San Dimas?

Although no two smiles are the same, every patient benefits from routine checkups and cleanings. Since it’s one of the most common treatments, it’s not surprising that this question comes up time and time again. Unfortunately, however, there isn’t a one-size-fits-all answer. To provide you with an accurate estimate, we need to take several factors into account, like if we need to take X-rays.

With all of that said, there is a national average: $200 to $350. Again, the best way to get a price estimate is by talking to our friendly team directly. That way, we can provide you with an idea of the cost with your unique dental needs in mind.

What do you do if you can't afford a dentist?

If you’re on a budget, you might automatically assume that dental care is “too expensive.” In reality, postponing preventive and restorative dentistry can be extremely costly. In fact, the Journal of Dental Medicine reported that every dollar invested in preventive treatments can save you between $8 to $50 on restorative and cosmetic care over time!

If you’re at all concerned about the cost, then we encourage you to talk to our San Dimas dental team. We welcome dental insurance and flexible financing. Plus, we can answer any questions you have about each and help you get the care you need without stressing about the cost.

How do I find the best place to get dental work done?

In short, the answer doesn’t necessarily look the same for everyone! While some patients’ top priority may be finding a dentist that’s close to their work or home, others might be looking for a team that welcomes their dental insurance. So, the best way to find the answer is by asking yourself, “What’s important to me as a patient?”

Our team at Covina Family Dental takes pride in being a top-rated dentist near San Dimas, and we genuinely go above and beyond to give our patients the top-tier dental care they deserve!
